I mostly enjoyed it but I'm p sure that's not how migraines work

This book was engaging but having been alive/conscious in 2005, I found some of the slang anachronistic and it threw me off whenever certain words and phrases were used.

I also did not like the way Ali talked about Dana and her kids. I have also decided to be child free but I could never imagine thinking about my best friend and her kids this way.

Ultimately, I wanted more from this one.

I really liked reading about the relationship between Cara and Ali. They were one of the most relatable and healthy couples I've come across in rom coms like this. I appreciated how they navigated issues using healthy communication, boundary setting, support, and mutual respect, which I think we could use more of in romantic media.

While browsing the “Rainbow Reads” collection, I thought I’d find a good book for Pride Month. This was not it. The concept was okay, I just really disliked the execution. And I hated the way the main character talked about her friend’s kids.
