Nemam nic proti naivnym postavam, ale mam problem ked je postava naivna to the point of stupidity.

It's getting to be a habit with Andrew Rowe books where by the time the big fight scene at the end starts, I'm full on rooting for the bad guys. The book is drowning in repetitive melodramatic navel gazing. This book needed a story editor so very badly.
In starting several of Rowe's different series, I'm finding that he's a lot like David Eddings, in that he has this one central character that he sticks in every story and just changes the name, reskins the supporting characters and alters the set decorations. But it's basically same whiny guy, reluctantly shuffling through the story.

so bored! tbh though i couldn't give a shit about keras, i'm forever obsessed with corin. but the fights, as always, were excellent. the ending promises more action in the later books!!
Just not enough...
Not enough world building, not enough RPG elements, not enough humor, not enough tension.

Amazing trek through the eyes of a different hero from the arcane ascension series. Rowe does a fantastic job at writing a semi overpowered character. The scenes were written entertainingly and had his usual brand of humor. Can’t wait to read more from this series!
