Shallow story with not many interesting plot points.

ARC from Edelweiss
WOW

Really enjoyed this. The whole premise is an interesting take on superheroes who aren't the heroes but instead control the world because of their powers. It's a little dystopian, a little science fiction, and a ton of action. It begs to be made into a movie, with a gang of misfits trying to take down the government, romance, mystery, and revenge (although I sort of hope it won't be).

Definitely something I can booktalk and give to the kids.

Pretty legit. It's Brandon Sanderson, so I knew there would be some interesting elements in here. As this is a young adult book, it definitely isn't as gritty as his other novels, but just as fun!

A fun story, but David was so annoying to me (especially the way he treated Megan) so it was hard to enjoy at times.

I liked the superpowers and the idea of them having specific weaknesses, but the plot and characters were lacking compared to his other books. The ending was pretty good though!
