Oh how I loved Quinn and Graham. Now, is this the best book I've ever read? No. But sometimes a girl just needs a reason for a good cry, and it gave me just that. The pacing was nice and the dual timelines were good for perspectives on different stages of Quinn and Graham's relationship. The story covers a topic with a lot of nuance but it doesn't go into much depth of the issue but it doesn't claim to do so either, which I think should be kept in mind when rating it. Overall, it made me do the one thing ever Coho book excels at: bawling my eyes out.

i think the only reason why i rated this book 3 stars is because i was furious with the lack of communication between quinn and graham!! and i get that was part of why their marriage was not working anymore but their evasion just kept sinking and sinking. and when they did communicate it wasn't enough (in my opinion) to truly. understand the other person. do i think you should read this book? yes. but i was expecting a bit more.

i liked it because it was colleen, and her writing ALWAYS hits.. but i didn’t feel connected to the characters at all, unlike some of her other books. the theme didn’t resonate or interest me to a great extent, but i still enjoyed it! had a good ending :)
