“I’m sorry for what I did to you in your nightmare. Please forgive me tonight when you dream.”
reading this on august while listening to august by taylor swift has been quite such an experience. i love the characters so much in this book. i learned a lot of realizations and felt a lot of enlightening after reading this. especially because i am also a woman like quinn.
i will now promise to never take anything for granted.

the only reason i couldn't rate this 5 stars is bc we wouldn't tolerate cheaters in this house! but other than that, this book has been perfect to me. i love quinn and graham so much.Graphic: Miscarriage and Self harm

I have to admit that I was very upset at first, because I was given this book, and don’t normally go for a failed marriage type of book. I like to read about the falling in love part, not the repairing once the love is lost. But the thing about this book was, that even though the characters were lost, heartbroken, and betrayed, the

love never wavered. Yes, there was definitely times were they felt like giving up, but like a quote from the book said; you may give up a thousand times in a marriage, but the clue is to never give up at the same time (or something like that). And that was what they did. When she was miserable, he was her pillar. When he felt the same, he came to her for comfort. And finally, when they gave up together, they found reassurance in their love, and came trough stronger than ever. And such a beautiful ending! I loved it!!Graphic: Miscarriage , Grief, and Infertility

this book is all rounded, it’s emotional and hopeful at the same time. colleen hoover exceptionally writes realistic characters with flaws and complexity to extent that you won’t know what to expect from them next. quinn and graham wells are two characters with their own imperfections that were molded so perfectly well into each other. their story had me from prologue to epilogue, i’m hooked when i knew their fates intertwined in such a despicable way and i’m blown away by how their current lives had such a dramatic turnaround since then.
it was an experience reading this. i was smiling from the then chapters and i was emotional from the now chapters—it was, suffice to say, a ride.
i got emotional from reading what’s inside the wooden box the most. it was so exhilarating to know that what saved their marriage are their past selves full of hope they’d last.
