Yikes. Powerful example of using fiction to explore a topic that feels unimaginable. How did Orwell conceive of it? Complete with its own language even. What would Orwell have written if he hadn't died a year after writing this?

It was a very thought provoking book and very interesting to see how similar things have happened in the real world years after the book was written. The Stasi being very similar with the ‘telescreens’ and spying and though police. It was a very interesting read and not a happy book.

This is probably the book with the saddest ending I've read. Very morbid, the plot might be a pseudoscientific/fictional as of now. But it's slowly happening already.
