Me he leído este libro porque lo tenía en pendientes desde hace muchísimo tiempo, pero sabiendo que había envejecido muy mal en lo que se refiere a temas de género. El libro apesta a señoro de una manera que es asquerosa y solo puede entender que se haya convertido en un super clásico porque salió justo en los inicios de la Guerra Fría por parte de un autor ya reconocido. Porque el libro me ha parecido simple y llanamente malo. La parte final

a partir de que atrapan a Windston

me ha resultado algo más de interés pero en general me ha parecido un panfleto mal escrito sin profundidad ni en su mundo ni, muchísimo menos, en la construcción de sus personajes. Si los protagonistas fuesen adolescentes y lo hubiese escrito una mujer en 2012 tendríamos clarísimo que es una de las muchas distopías juveniles de la época que destacaban por muchas cosas menos por calidad.
