This book is probably one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen, but I feel like it's a little over my head, skill-wise. Love that Martha Stewart aesthetic though.

3.5 stars, rounded up. I like that this book has large photos of the paper flowers and projects. Ultimately, it wasn't really what I was looking for. The projects in the book look lovely, but I will most likely not end up making a majority of them. I was looking for more realistic paper flower tutorials. A lot of the samples in this book are more free-form, and loose interpretations of flowers. Again, that's not to say that the book doesn't have some beautiful art projects, but it's just not what I was hoping for when I picked up the book.

On first encounter I didn't think that I'd love this. I was wrong. I was so inspired by this book. I love the layout, the wealth of ideas and the playful approach. For the most part he flowers aren't super realistic but dang, they are just so gosh darn charming. Out of the stack of paper flower books I've amassed from the library I seem to come back to this most often.

the how to on creating a range of paper flowers - something to come back to when I want to start a new craft.

There are some beautiful paper flowers in here. I loved how the author's found inspiration all around them. I loved how they painted on the paper to add such wonderful detail.

I actually picked this up to get ideas for metal crafting, but I also do paper crafting on the side. It was surprisingly helpful for both applications. great book.
