Ann Liang's stories are always like a warm hug - I know I'm going to sink into them and love every second of it.

And this one is no different! I really enjoyed this story: one of relearning your language, learning about your culture, of making new friends, and learning to forgive old friends.
The romance was cute and adorable and Cyrus is the sweetest

I fell in love with this book from the second I started to read it. I physically couldn't put it down. It was filled with such raw emotion and every part of it made me feel. Made me feel as if I was floating above a mountain, falling in love as I floated down it on a cloud. It made me laugh so hard that I couldn't stop, so many times. It had moments where I felt light, felt dark, felt every emotion. It was beautiful writing in every sense of the word, and more than I can say. The characters breathed life into me and every sentence pulled me along. I want to wake up tomorrow and read the whole thing again just to experience it again, though I know it will never be the same as the first time reading a book is an experience you can never replicate.

I’m listening to the audiobook and I really don’t like the voice she does for the male lead.  I can’t see myself listening to it for several hours.

I love this book so so ...❤️❤️
The characters are absolute perfection, and I was fully invested in their journeys. Watching them grow and evolve was like a warm hug for my soul. But let's be real, the biggest tragedy is that this book  has an ending * sob sob *
