I'm so obsessed with this series that it is not even funny! I'm on the edge of my seat with each turn of the page! These books are gripping the throat of my soul.
Kandi Steiner, you have no idea how these books impacted my life! In the best way possible. I can't stand it when someone says: it's just a book. It's not just a book! It's my lifeline, my saving grace. It is everything to me, and this series got me out of my crowded mind space into such a beautiful place.

Holden and Julep
✨ college football romance
✨ forbidden - coaches daughter
✨ shared grief
✨ quarterback/ sports trainer
✨ neighbors
Holden Moore’s one focus has always been football when tragedy hit him young. When his new coach also comes with an off limits daughter Julep, he may find something he wants more than football. Julep is starting over after losing her sister and trying to be better. That means no good looking quarterback even though he may be the only things she’s noticed in years.
“I’d choose losing it all over losing you for a lifetime.”
I throughly loved this book from start to finish. Julep was drowning in her grief but she was strong willed, she was fighting for her second chance at life even though it seemed pointless. I love that Holden never gave up on her. Her snarky attitude and shut down of every attempt didn’t deter him. Even as forbidden as it may be. He recognized the shadow in her eyes that matched his own. He was on of my favorite characters, he cared so much about his team that he hid his own fears and frustrations to be a good captain. He was there for Julep when she needed him most. Cared for her and showed her that she wasn’t alone.
It was spicy and fun at parts. I love Julep expressing herself through poke dancing. I love the outlook of being sexually freeing and a way to help battle demons. I love watching Julep find herself again and mend relationships. Holden was really good to her and for her and was in from day 1.
“Every day. I’ll be right by your side reminding you that you matter, that you are needed, that there is a reason to have hope and a reason to live. I’ll be here reminding you that for me? You are that reason.”

Ok so I loved The Blind Side and HOLY $^%* this book y’all!!
.
Holden Moore is the rock of NBU’s Football Team. QB1, Team Captain, friend, supporter & all around great guy.
When the new Head Coach walks in to introduce himself to the team Holden is suddenly captivated by the gorgeous brunette that follows him in. Coach Lee is not as laid back as the previous coach and not someone to be tested. Which sucks when Holden finds out the gorgeous brunette is Coach’s daughter Julep a sports medicine major who will be working with the Team
When Coach Lee gives explicit instructions to the team to STAY AWAY from his daughter Holden pushes his curiosity to the side to focus on football.
When a sudden injury puts Holden out of the game to recover for months, Coach assigns Julep to his PT and they begin an odd sort of friendship. Clearly attracted to one another but knowing how much they both have to lose they suppress their feelings. Until one night at an away game they can’t hide their feelings any longer.
Starting a relationship is dangerous and reckless but they just can’t help themselves.
When it becomes clear to both of them that the other is damaged in ways only they can understand, their hook-up starts to feel like something more.
Will they be able to keep it cool? Or will their pasts come crashing back to the present and blow up both of their futures?
.
I love the Blind Side but THIS BOOK!! THIS BOOK! Blew my mind. There are SO many layers to both Holden and Julep that we start to learn and the experiences that have shaped them into these beautifully damaged people are so heart-wrenching. I loved watching their relationship grow and how they brought out the best in each other. Solid 10/10 would recommend!

For how important the last game was in this book, I was disappointed we actually didn’t get to see the game. I would’ve loved to be in Holden’s head, even if it was for a short chapter, to see his thought process and the team’s reaction, and get more out of the story.
As for the romance, I liked it but so far it’s my least favorite in the series. My ranking:
1) Blind Side
2) Fair Catch
3) Quarterback Sneak
Hail Mary (tbd)
3.5-3.75 ⭐️

Loved getting back into the Red Zone Rivals series! I have loved Holden from the previous books so I was excited to read his story. Definitely an emotional one for sure.
