This was sad but good.

According to my friend who had watched the first season of this anime, the manga cut out a ton. But they said it was tastefully done.

The story is a very serious one. I was a little shocked at the incidents because of how the story was set up in the beginning and how it changed. It was well done, but I’m not sure how long it can last.

I really like the art style. It’s the style that I find enjoyable. It was good from almost every angle.

One aspect I really liked about this was the legitimate otaku-ness. The main character in this iseki is an otaku. And he behaved like it, especially in the beginning. I don’t think that it will majorly impact the story any further but we shall see.

Not for everyone but worth a shot.

This was for the most part pretty okay. I feel like I should at least try another volume before I decide if I want to drop this or not but at the same time I couldn’t really care to do so.

I really enjoy the isekai genre , and this didn't disappoint. I loved the main protagonist, as he a bit different personality wise to what I'm usually reading. Definitely reccomend.

It has MMORPG elements, which brings back a lot of good memories. Good characters and simple plot.

I have been reading plenty of Isekais lately and this one is about a underated tank looked down upon and framed as a rapist, murderer, evildoer by his allies and those that summoned him. Its pretty much to the point, where the main character has to go through many obstacles and handicaps with the help of people that get to know him and believe in him seeing the kind person he is deep down. There isn't any fan service which is nice and the first female main character is one that truly develops into her own more than others.

Do I recommend it:

The anime follows this really closely, so if you have seen the show, it is a lot of recap. I really enjoyed the show, so for me, this was a perk. But if you are hoping for something different this might not be for you.

I did enjoy getting some of Naofumi's inner thoughts, as that helps contextualize some of his actions a bit better.

The writing is quick, and to the point, occasionally I had difficulty telling who was saying what, as there are a lot of sentences that just say the statement, but never attribute it to anyone. Usually you can tell, but stylistically it wasn't my favorite.

Im excited to read further and see what happens after season 1!
