By far the best book I have ever read. I loved living Evelyn’s life as she retold it. My heart broke with her and I was sharply when she was happy. I figured out a main part of the plot before we got there but that was not a problem for me. the big plot point at the ending took my emotions with it. I felt the emotions physically especially at the end.

i should've known that something that was this popular would not live up to the hype, especially since tiktok and goodreads are not at all an accurate measure of how good a book is. in any case, it wasnt necessarily a bad read. in fact, it kept me wondering what would happen next in the journey that was Evelyn Hugo's life. it kept me wanting more, which is a good thing. but i guess i'm more used to the dramatics of YA and fantasy, because i was always left looking and hoping for more. i still enjoyed the story, as well as the lessons you could take away from the novel. it was heartfelt where it needed to be heartfelt. overall, definitely was interesting, just not my style.
