I did not expect the ending it was good! But it was kind of a cliffhanger.
the blurb does not make sense until halfway through the book but by God it's a good book with a cliffhanger ending

Honestly, before reading, I thought that this would be a cheesy YA thriller (but make it sapphic). She's Too Pretty to Burn blew my expectations out of the water, I read this in one night. The characters felt incredibly real, and you hated all of them, just a bit.
Veronica, an aspiring photographer, and Mick, an aspiring collegiate athlete, meet the summer before their senior year of high school at a party (which neither of them really want to be at). Mick immediately catches Veronica's eye, not only as a crush but as a subject for her photography. But, Mick has a complicated relationship with the camera, which I really can't do justice in trying to describe in a review.
Told in alternating viewpoints from Veronica and Mick's perspective, this isn't just a love story. The opening page is Veronica, dying in the desert, and someone watching from the cliff above. Then, we skip back in time to 10 days earlier and hear the story from the beginning.

It's been a long while since I've read a good f/f love story. "She's too pretty to burn" stole my heart because the plotline was so unique and the love interests are both so adorable. It's a perfect mix of mystery-crime fiction and undying romance. Loved the twist too.
The only reason I gave it a 4-star is because I have problems with cliffhangers.
