It is fast-paced and fun. The characters felt flat and like plot devices rather than actual people and I don’t like when authors strategy in writing Teenagers is to simply make them dumb.
Is it a good book? Nah.
But it’s definitely entertaining and catchy. Perfect reading slump read.

all of these characters are insufferable...sorry, i know that's probably the point. also i strongly dislike any romance that begins with literally one singular kiss and then the characters are like "yeah my girlfriend who i'm dating" ????

Loved this so much, could not get enough of it!!! It felt like a movie, and I was not anticipating the way things played out, very suspenseful. Life is Strange vibes also which I loved.

If you can connect this book to the inspiration of The Picture of Dorian Gray or the connection to social media and our relationship to images of ourselves being spread without our knowledge or consent, then perhaps you will at least make sense of this book. Otherwise, the characters and situations are bizarre and not entirely believable, not a book I would highly recommend. Who exactly was Nico and what was his problem with the congressman? Does Mick just get over being camera-shy and lets Veronica do whatever she likes? Does Mick's mom just get away with ditching her daughter for her modeling career?

The first half was alright, I didn't really classify it as a thriller, it was more so a contemporary romance thing. The second half was really suspenseful and the plot twists were actually very well done. The last ~50 pages really had me. This was written in an easy to read style, very fast and nice to read through, a light read that I enjoyed.
