Sweetly adorable while still intensely hot. Loring's brilliant comedy shined throughout this fantastic sports romance while her new co-writing partner, Connor Crais, only increased the awesomeness of the overall plot.
You'd think these two have been writing together for years this book was so well done. There was never a point I thought, this sounds exactly like a man, or this is specifically Kayley's writing. It's flawless and perfectly executed. All the charm, cuteness, and loveable qualities that bring me back to Loring's books over and over again was still there, but there was also this extra sprinkle on top that I'm guessing was the Connor factor. I'm going with that and I'm sticking to it.
John Decker, the reformed panty wrecker, since his main focus is truly on football and not ravaging all the panties in Boston like when he was a young rookie. His character is likeable from start to finish. He's a leader on and off the field and he reminded me a lot of great players across generations and in other various sports as well. Whomever the inspiration was for Loring and Crais to draw from, they did a fantastic job on creating and drawing out a well rounded QB1. It's been years since I've asked questions and really paid attention to specifics in football. It's on my TV on the weekends mostly as background noise, but Decker even refreshed the old spirit in this gal and I found myself paying more attention to the TV than I have in years.
I adored Hannah Strong and loved that she was a woman willing to step into a man's world and never give up. That strength in character is a trait that more women need to see and experience in everyday life and it's slowly changing over time, but I love that it's also happening in the fictional world too. Women are still a minority when it comes to being owners of sports teams. Hannah had a big job in finance before she came over to the sports world, so she had analytics behind her. What she didn't have was any knowledge of the sport she was taking over, however, she did have the panty wrecker willing to give her a hand...with several things.
These two were pure fire from the beginning and their chemistry never let up. I also loved Hannah's quest for knowledge and her undying, relentless pursuit to never quit. No matter how tough something was she wasn't going to stop. That is the same ethics that professional athletes have and it's ultimately what wins them over as well, especially the QB1.
Is there some drama, of course, but are there lots of quirky, hot, fun times too...yes!! This book brings it all, along with lots of football.

This is just the kind of story that makes me know exactly why I love to listen to romance. Loring and Crais are a fantastic team, and their creativity and comedy make this one a touchdown!
Take the amazing story and add four amazing narrators to it, and it's the Heisman Trophy winner of performances. Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright are Decker and Hannah. Both with perfect comedic timing and a chemistry that shines through. Then add in Ava Lucas and Ron Butler with supporting characters and we get the extra point! Quick news bites and parent interaction give us more laughs and a little angst, perfect additions to the performance. I loved it!

Great debut novel from Connor Crais and his amazing writing partner, Kayley Loring. Loved Decker & Hannah! The Duet narration was also amazing. Connor Crais & MacKenzie Cartwright did am excellent job narrating. And I also enjoyed Ava Lucas & Ron Butler as well.

This was a fun, opposites attract, forbidden love/office romance between the star quarterback and the new owner of the team. I enjoyed it a lot on audio, with a full cast narration featuring Connor Crais. If you enjoy sports romances this is a great one. Recommended for fans of the Alexa Martin Playbook series or Susan Elizabeth Phillip's Chicago Stars series.

4.5⭐️ read - I loved Decker and Hannah! This was such a fun read! Once I found out it was Connor Crais’s debut as a co-author, I was ready to jump in. He’s one of my fav narrators so I was excited to see what he’s bring as a writer. Kayley Loring is new to me and I’ll definitely be reading more of her books.
This definitely football heavy…meaning you get a lot of facts and knowledge with this one. It’s great for football fans for sure! (If you’re not into actual football stats etc then you can skim and get a great romance with spice

Hannah Strong has recently inherited her father’s most prized possession, his NFL team in Boston. She has no clue about anything doing with football because she distanced herself from the sport that always came first for her father even before her so now how does she operate this thing? As an avid sports fan, yes even football, this book had it all for me. I love all sports romance but what set this one apart from the many I have read was this emerge the readers into the sport. It teaches those who are clueless about what is going on and to those who are rabid fans (aka me) we enjoy being engulfed in what we love. Decker the panty wrecker or use to be panty wrecker is a new changed more mature QB, his main focus is football and the guy that taught him so much other than his own parents just passed away. Decker and the whole team are not sure what to expect from Hannah so they don’t take it easy on her but they expect her to become a team member. I felt bad for Hannah because not only was her father not really a part of her life but now she is thrust in this world where nothing makes sense even though she tries to learn it seems anything she does or says never goes the way it should. At times I wanted her to get angry at the team maybe sound off on them because even when she was trying they still gave her a hard time making her feel inadequate and not part of the team that they preached she needed to be. When her and Decker start to feel the attraction to each other they know they shouldn’t but they can’t stop it and their banter was spot on. They loved to give each other a hard time and they both thrived off of it. I don’t want to give too much away because this book is such an enjoyment not just for sports fans but romance lovers and everyone in between. When you mix a beautiful, clueless at sports, but genius with numbers owner and an ex playboy schmexy MVP QB you get a beautiful hot mess perfection.
