Not a bad way to close out the series. I liked books 1 and 2 best, but getting to finally understand Dex and his issues was nice. He and Lauren have similarities to her twin Emily, and his brother Luke. Both met when they were younger, shared secret moments then reconnected and came together for an HEA, with some dramatics thrown in.

Overall I'll give the series a solid 4 stars.

3.75 my favorite thing about this entire series is that the miscommunication never lasts, characters call their significant other on their bullshit and stick to them, they care deeply and treat one another with respect. the stories and built of the books are pretty similar, but i had a good time reading each and all of those stories

dex and lauren weren’t an exception. liked them a lot

I've read so many character linked series where there has been a big build up to the story of the moody, loner, alpha male guy. Your heart has been stolen by brief glimpses of this guy in prior books, and you just know he is to die for. Then you get hold of the book and are left somewhere between disappointed and p***ed off. It lacks everything the other books had and leaves you cold.

WELL NOT THIS ONE!!!!!! Nope, Nopey No No, this one was absolutely swoonmazingly awesome. Oh my word how my heart melted for Dex, he was everything I wanted and so much more too. So vulnerable and sweet under all that bravado. Lauren is one lucky girl and was absolutely perfect for him. This was definitely well worth the wait. I loved it so much I couldn't put it down and it became a one-sit reading.

This was a little insta-love, though the two main characters had been fascinated with each other in high school. However the connection and chemistry between this pair was so believable that I happily embraced a trope that doesn't often work for me. Dex and Lauren did more than make love, their very souls came together and were bound for eternity.

We had previously only seen Dex through the eyes of others, but I always knew he had hidden depths. He was no where near the don't give a damn alpha-hole that had been portrayed, though this was the image he deliberately projected for others. I loved how Lauren's own pain and suffering allowed her to see the same pain and suffering that Dex hid so well from others. I loved how the pair of them instinctively understood and saw the truth of the other person.

Have I already said how Dex was so much more, so much deeper, so much more damaged, so much more complex and wonderful than I could have imagined. Lauren was just as wonderful. I truly, totally and utterly fell in love with this pair and they will always have a special place in my heart.

You need to read this book, and this series, now.

Make Me Beg was fast-paced and had an enjoyable story. It was trope-y (good girl cop’s daughter + bad boy ex-cop + history + baby making scheme), and not particularly deep, but I really liked both characters and the fast-burn nature of their relationship.

So far all of the Julie Kriss books I’ve read have been short but reliably entertaining. I’d describe them as somewhere between an instalove novella and a ‘full-fledged’ romance novel. Good for an easy read.

Make Me Beg is the story I have been waiting for! I love all the Riggs brothers, but there has been something about Dex that catches me in each book. It could be the bad boy image he portrays, but I think it is that I want to know why he is the way he is, and finally we get his story! We get Lauren, Luke's sister-in-law and Dex together. These two have some history, but it never amounted to anything. Now years later, the two are together, their attraction palpable, and Dex is willing to give her the one thing she has always wanted! What a story this is. It's full of emotion and action, gives us lots of passion and we even get some suspense and action! Kriss never lets us down, she always has it all in her books! And the epilogue wraps it all up, with a quick look at the whole family. It's a great ending to this series!

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon finish their narration with Dex and Lauren. I love this duo, so talented, finding the intricacies of each character and making them different with a new voice and inflections. It's a pleasure to hear them, and I love that they have performed the entire series, giving us continuity of the characters. It's a must listen series!

Sometimes you just need a cheesy, smutty book to break it up a bit

Dex and lauran

Dex doesn't seem that crazy at all. Don't know if the other exaggerated him or being older does just make you a little bit wiser, but good none of the less

Finally we get to Dex's story. As a former cop and the most misunderstood of the Riggs brothers, Dex needs to come to terms with his past before he can get on with his future. Lauren who is newly divorced has decided to take matters in her own hands and use a sperm bank to finally have the baby she wants. But a dead car battery puts them both on a path neither one of them ever imagined and not the memories of their first kiss when she was 16 means so much more. Can Dex finally get a HEA and not be considered the loser anymore? Can Lauren's dreams come true? I honestly can say I had to read this story all in one sitting. There was not a spot of the storyline that i could put down and just when you think you know what is going to happen the roller coaster begins and you just hold on until it is over. The epilogue was the icing on the cake. I am so sorry to see the Riggs series complete. i will miss these boys.
