Georgia is one of my favorite authors and this was a well written book. Interesting characters and decent plot. My only issue was I noticed the romance formula which I usually do not with this author.

I really enjoyed this one. I’ve just started getting into Georgia Beers’ books and I’m so excited to read more from her impressive catalogue. It’s been a while since I’ve read a enemies-to-lovers type book (although I wouldn’t say they were completely enemies at the start), and the subtle angst of it was very much fun. I really don’t have too much to say about this book other than I really enjoyed it. As someone who’s knows nothing about wine, I was afraid that I would be very lost with all the wine-talk, but I actually quite enjoyed it. The wine bar felt like a character itself with so much life and I really adored how it brought our two heroines together.

While I was really enjoying the romantic build-up, great chemistry and sexual tension, my one gripe about this book was I didn’t feel the progression from lovers to in-love if you know what I mean. While I thought they had great chemistry and had some really heartfelt scenes, I still don’t quite feel like Beers completely sold me on the love story. I really just wanted to see more of our characters together. Nonetheless, still a really sweet, entertaining and heartfelt book that I definitely recommend.

A must read

I loved every book I read from Georgia Beers. So when I saw this one, I barely hesitated (like should I get it now or later). And I'm glad I bought it.
I fell in love with the story and the characters. It was fun, enchanting, heartbreaking, lovely... exactly what I'm expecting from a good novel.
Go for it, you won't regret it.

This was cute! There was no coming out element, as both women already identified as lesbians, and the story was fun. I was confused about what exactly Piper did for work; she was obviously in an office at some kind of corporate company, but other than that I couldn't tell you. There was also an acemisic line that bothered me, and pretty much everyone in here was white, but other than that, I enjoyed it. Recommend.

This was a cute romance! I was reminded very strongly of Julie James, and then the author name dropped James in the text, which made me laugh out loud and spook the cat. My only problem was that
SpoilerI felt Lindsey forgave Piper far too quickly for firing her, plus it was a bit of a reach that Piper even suspected Lindsey of essentially corporate espionage in the first place. I was also unsure from the text if Piper could even fire her, if her mom left Lindsey in charge? It didn't make a whole lot of sense
. Aside from that, a fluffy, fun read with two extremely competent heroines, which I like an awful lot.

This was my first book of this writer and it definitely is not for me. With All the talk about wine: how, smell, fruit..pffff. I didn’t feel the characters or their chemistry. The story was just to boring for me.

Good slow burn, strong chemistry, but had a rushed happily-ever-after, and I was often left confused about the physical dimensions of the town/city they lived in. At times it would seem very isolated, small, and remote (somehow they both live extremely close to this lake), but Piper is supposed to be this huge big shot at a huge corporate company that would fit in better in a small city.

I haven't read anything by Georgia Beers in a while so it was a treat to read this entertaining love story filled with women I’d like to meet and a wine bar I would love to frequent.

Lindsey Kent is all optimism and great ideas when Vineyard’s owner decides to take a sabbatical leaving Lindsey in charge of the wine bar. She knows she can grow the business and attract a younger, hipper crowd. Too bad she is handcuffed by Ellen’s request that her daughter Piper be included in financial decisions involving Vineyard. Piper has a pretty low opinion of Lindsey and is less than enthusiastic about any changes she wants to make to the wine bar designed by her late father. The clashes are inevitable and sparks do fly when Lindsey and Piper are forced to work together.

No spoilers when it's obvious these two strong independent women will eventually learn to respect and admire one another. Lindsey has to wear the Teflon undies for a good portion of their story while Piper reins in her anger and bitterness towards just about everyone. At first I thought two years was a long time to mourn the loss of her father but then I remembered how devastating the loss of a parent and confidant can be. Kudos to Beers for giving us characters we can relate to, even if we don’t match their beautiful bodies and athletic pastimes.

Tuck into Blend and pair it with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and some appropriate cheeses and enjoy this sweet traditional romance.

This one started off slow, but once the romance got going, it was a bit better. The inevitable fight was not the greatest plot point as it was abundantly clear that Lindsay could never do what she was accused of doing. Add these qualms to the fact that there was only one choice for perpetrator plus the book's predictability and the cheesy way the author incorporated the title in the end and I can only give it three stars.
