The premise of the book makes it seems like it will be about wedding culture. To a point it is, but that's just if you look at the book on the surface. Read further into the book, look at the nuances, and you realize so much more

This is a book that benefits from reading with your eyes, or both. I know that if I only had access to the audio, I would have DNF'd. Not the fault of the narrator, because it's how Callie happens to be - wishy washy, not quite a social climber, resentful of others, etc
