Opens strong, interesting premise. The books strikes a delicate balance of sad, silly and sweet while tackling difficult topics of grief and rebuilding your life after loss. The plot was predictable, but the that didn’t really matter as the point is the two main charters’ emotional journey.  I found my self skimming through the last little bit.

This felt unrealistic at many points. BUT, the author did a great job at showing the grip grief can hold on someone and the importance of loved ones to pull you out of it.

I really like the premise but I think the execution fell short. I enjoyed the dual POV and thought it was a unique concept
I think the year jumps made the narrative feel stunted and jarring and ruined the flow of the narrative. A bit boring in places with not much happening, I found the chapters too long

I found Alice's breakdown just bizarre and out of character. how would she not think it was something to do with Harry being sick ... why would he be a prankster in the middle of a really busy ward

"Ah... tomorrow. The day I keep hoping will eventually arrive. It hasn't yet. Every day is today
