This was an okay book. Kind of cute, more than kind of cheesy. I found the characters to be a little emotionally immature, which does not work for a book about grief. I know grief well, and this book did not resonate much with me. I did like the friendship between Alice and Ben, though.

This book had me all of the place, highs and lows galore. It did something that only a handful of books do and that is make me cry.

I chose this book as my free Amazon Firsts book which I’ll be honest often regularly languish on my Kindle unread but this synopsis gripped me and I started reading immediately- a decision I’ve not regretted. Highly highly recommend this book although be mindful of the difficult topics of it could be triggering. Look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
