Much happens in the span of only a few days once again in this amazing addition to the Mortal Instruments series. Tons of drama and romance. New powers, new revelations. Much better than the 2nd book.

Live laugh love Simon Lewis

Good story but the whole incest storyline of are they siblings are they not really ruined it. especially when it turns out Sebastian is actually Jonathan and is clarys brother which he fully knew and still kissed her and insisted they're meant to be together🤮

That was what you did with family when you'd been worried about them, you grabbed them and held on to them and told them how much they'd pissed you off, and it was okay, because no matter how angry you got, they still belonged to you.

Edit 17/07/2024:
Re-reading this entire saga might have been a mistake, because I keep violently grinding my teeth, wondering what high-school me was thinking for rating all these books 5 stars.

I mean, the writing is far from stellar, the plot is quite straightforward, the many relationships are slightly boring, and worst of all, the characters have no personality or development whatsoever.

I enjoyed them being in Alicante, I'm still very fond of Alec, Isabelle and Magnus, and extremely fed up with Jace and Clary. I'd say that overall, this third instalment was less dull than the previous ones, but I'm still rating it down to 2 stars.

First read in 2013, ★★★★☆.
"Are you—Ragnor Fell? The warlock?” Magnus took the pipe out of his mouth. “Well, I’m certainly not Ragnor Fell the exotic dancer."

Ragnor Fell as an exotic dancer is probably already a thing anyway.
