Why have a false incest plot if you were going to say well they're not siblings actually...
It felt forced just so the author could add drama!

I think the best part of this book was when Clary found out she kissed her ACTUAL brother and acted like she was disgusted by it as if she wasn't making out with the guy she thought was her brother all of 50 pages earlier. I hate this book with a passion.

3.5 stars. Definitely the best out of the three books. It was really captivating from beginning to end. I totally saw like all the twists coming so it’s losing some points for that because I felt like everyone was sooooo slow to put pieces together. Also clary was really really annoying in the beginning of the book. Also still losing some points for the fact that we had to deal w the brother sister thing for almost an entire other book and it’s so ickyyyyy.

back in my shadowhunter era and honestly i've never had more fun

I read the third book. Fine, they explain away the incest thing, as it was hinted they would. It doesn't change how I felt about it before. And now I see that a fourth book has just come out in hardcover. That's right--I have to read a fourth. To not read it would be worse than reading it, for sure.

I LOVED this!

I still don't have a real click with this series. It's amusing enough to keep reading, but the characters are not compelling enough (and sometimes downright irritating) to really make me love these books.
