There’s not much plot to this- it’s just a bunch of things happening to different people for the first 70%. So by the time the story actually kicks in, I was so over it and disconnected from the characters that I just kinda wanted it to be over.

I liked the story and the characters a lot, but there wasn't a true conflict in the book. I'm not sure if that's just the way I read it, but the way I read it was that the religious people would be the main antagonists but they never really revealed themselves to be such. A disappointing dnf for me.
