A great book to begin Pride month! Thank you to netgally and the publisher for this ARC.
I really enjoyed this story! The setting is very cute small town. Very few side characters but they were well written and added great support to our main ladies. This book follows two ex wives that find themselves back in the same place. They decided to put their differences aside to try and sell their old business. It’s very lighthearted. I had some laughs too! It’s not too spicy, definitely an easy read with a good message. If you love second chance romances, LGBTQ+ representation and good storytelling, I recommend you pick this one up

Thank you to Random House for this eARC! This one got me so good I can't even pretend. The pace was amazing, I loved that by the end of chapter 1 we were in it. Ex-wives at the inn they still own and they are angry and maybe a little horny and we are OFF! Molly and Robin have insane great chemistry and they both stand alone as their own characters really well. I loved how passionate they both are about their art - Molly in glass and Robin in food. And the process of restoring the inn made you fall in love with it the same way they were falling back in love with it and each other throughout. And I loved their friendships and relationships and support system all around them - the ones that will be a shoulder but also will smack them with reality when they really need it. This is just a really well put together story that I had a great time reading.

I was able to read an ARC of this. It was a cute story. I liked that it was a tale of going back home and being reminded of how much you’re loved. The romance felt a bit forced at times, but I enjoyed it.

Bed and Breakup is one that took me by surprise as I had not heard about it until the publisher reached out to me. Seeing that it was set in my home state, I couldn’t NOT read it!
I will say, besides the fictional inn/stores/restaurants, everything was real! Yes, even Toad Suck Daze and the Razorbacks. Having never heard these mentioned in a book before, it definitely threw me for a loop literally every time something niche and local to me was mentioned.
The actual story - I thought was cute! I loved the representation seeing that this is a deep red state. There are pockets of communities like this, so I loved seeing them highlighted. I thought the lovers to exes to friends to lovers was well done, but Molly and Robin were a little childish in the beginning. The pranks were mean and made me not want to root for either of them until they started getting their act together. I loved how Robin had to humble herself and address her past failings and how Molly was there to support her through it. The side characters were also fantastic.
My complaints - it took a while for the story to really get going. Probably 20-25%. I already mentioned the pranks, but they really did make me want to shake them and tell them to grow up and act their ages.
Overall, if you’re looking for a cute story that is set in a small town with awesome representation, then this one is for you!
Thank you to Madison at The Dial Press for reaching out for this eARC opportunity!

The main characters in this book were so oblivious it hurt. Every other character could see what they could and they just wanted to be delusional the whole time. The book was very fast paced. It went from we’re enemies to the next chapter they’re fine, then they’re in love again, and yet we’re not gonna figure anything out until the last 5 pages??? Not it.

Seven years after an acrimonious breakup, Molly and Robin both find themselves back at the Hummingbird Inn, the now-vacant bed and breakfast that they had previously turned into a nationally renowned destination for queer vacationers. Billed as a small-town second-chance lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance, I selected this book more for the enemies-to-lovers aspect than the second-chance-romance, and it definitely delivered what I wanted in the ETL trope!
Keep in mind that it's not just a straightforward enemies-to-lovers romance. I'm fond of those, but in this case we have two people with a long history together, who left things unresolved, and both of whom feel hurt and angry about it, and when they unexpectedly find themselves staying in the same house, they're immediately at each others throats and taking that hurt out on each other. But that's only part of the story, as they eventually do the adult thing...and realize that they are adults.
In the Afterword, author Susie Dumond writes, "With Bed and Breakup, I wanted to tell a story about what it means to love someone over years, how it feels to grow into adulthood alongside a partner and grapple with the choices you make together and apart. I wanted to dig into the messiness of building a life with someone and the beauty that blooms from those challenges."
I think this book does a great job of showing just exactly that, and doing it in an entertaining and moving way.
**I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This book was clearly such a labor of love, and that comes out in every chapter. The idyllic small town is based on a real place, and by just halfway through the book, I was already looking up flights. The author even included real recommendations in her afterword. If you love a queer-friendly cute little town, this is definitely the book for you.
Unfortunately, the romance itself fell a little flat to me. I was having trouble connecting with the characters, and never fully invested in their relationship. I also felt like the book was a little slower-paced than I would have liked.
I was provided a complimentary ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Molly and Robin are both hoping to stay in the Bed and Breakfast they ran together before they split up, but they certainly weren't hoping to stay there with each other. Now they have a chance to find some closure, actually get divorced, and sell the last thing tying them together: their bed and breakfast.
Parts of the romance felt a little rushed, but I enjoyed the bed and breakfast setting, and I thought the book really brought Eureka Springs to life on the page.
Thanks to Netgalley and Dial Press Trade Paperback for an early copy.
