Full of second chance romance and the change and grow that comes from aging together and apart. I loved how our characters interact with their memorable community and confront their complicated selves to reach where they need to be. All of the side characters were great and painted a vivid community for both the characters and the reader.

I loved Susie Dumond’s Written in the Stars, so I was so excited for this summer’s Bed and Breakup. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to its predecessor for me. Perhaps second chance romance isn’t my subgenre, and while the setting of Eureka Springs is charming and explicitly queer, the story just never came to life. I found Robin and Molly to be interchangeable; the chapters switch POV and I often forgot which character was narrating. In a romance, you often already know the end, and the journey is what makes the reading enjoyable. But the ending was so obvious I was begging to just get there already. Bed and Breakup missed the mark for me, but I’m still looking forward to what Dumond does next (a sapphic soccer romance if we’re lucky!).
Thank you to Dial Press and Random House for the arc.

This felt like it went in circles in a bad way. I didn't like them, I was bored and I wanted it to end since the first page.
May end up coming back to this eventually because the vibes seemed so fun but the angst of the enemies to lovers/second chance seemed like too much of a chore to get through right now. Sometimes ex should stay exes for a reason lol.
