So many wonderful words in music and grief. I love this book so much! I think if I was born in the 60s instead of late 80s this would have been a 5 star read for me. I didn’t know a lot of the music and the lifestyle he was talking about. But I still loved reading this book!

five stars for impact, not writing. it is not written as most novels but more of an internal reflection, so gorgeous and filled with anecdotes but really it’s about a bigger picture, of grief. and not only grief but the people that can make us feel their loss in such a way that we never stop comparing life to how it would be with them still here. so beautiful and melancholy with much reflection and introspection.
