There are a few moments that definitely date this book, which is unfortunate, but overall it was a comfy murder mystery that makes you want to bake as soon as you can get your hands on butter and sugar.

Getting over my Goldy Schulz heartbreak is hard, but this is a strong contestant to fill that emptiness in my heart. Never thought cozy mysteries would be such a bop in my reading agenda but here we are.
Hannah is a likeable character, you like her since the moment she shows up. Witty, kind, puts up with everyone's BS, definitely a baker after my own heart.
The love triangle is fun so far, can't say whose team I'm on yet, though.
And the cookies? They definitely push the story forward.
Definitely looking forward to reading the next one.

I liked this cozy mystery but I also felt like it had a lot of unnecessary fluff in it..I don’t believe it needed to be so long..but maybe it set up for the rest of the series 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is a wonderfully decent murder mystery book that shocked me at the end. Hannah finding Ron’s body, having her mother pursue suitors for her, and not only her sister’s issues with motherhood and Danielle’s relationship problems had me on the edge of my seat as I read. I never would have guessed that Judith the socialite was the killer of max and Ron.

I suspected at first Max had done it until his own body was found, and then Benton who had very little alibi. Never in my life did the socialite mother could have done such a heinous crime until you realized she is selfish and desperate for her money and home to stay with her that such an idea of max evicted her and ron being a witness made so much sense.

A wonderful book indeed!
