This seems like it'll be fun series to read. It seems a little dated, but considering how many books there are in the series, I'm guessing it started long before today's technologies became so widespread. Hannah seems to have a knack for detective work, almost to the point that I thought she was a better detective than her brother-in-law. I look forward to reading more of the series and seeing how it develops. And the cookie recipes? Those are the cherry on top. :)
Oh my goodness what a cute cozy mystery. Apart from the two jarring comments about 2 characters (a product of the times - written in 2000), this was light and silly and fun. I will certainly continue to read the series.

Didn’t really identify with or care for the protagonist. Fatphobia and some heavier subjects (domestic abuse, non consensual porn, etc.) that were handled strangely and also didn’t need to be included to further the plot. Almost DNF but I bought the audiobook so I let it play out for the sake of checking it off. Also weird tone at the end when talking about potential romantic interests. Disappointing.
