This has some plot twists and interesting characters. It was a bit confusing at times.
The End, the end, the end.. i nearly teared up. It was not my book genre, but i really enjoyed reading it. I might consider it as one of my favs.

Three essential ingredients for a full enjoyment of "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield.
1. An avid love for books, authors and booksellers.
2. Reading "Jane Eyre" ( or a summary).
3. Patince.
This book had such a great start for me. I adored "Lea's Antiquarian Booksellers". Margret Lea and her father's love and passion for books were so tangible.
I almost did not want to live their little place, not even for a mysterious writer who might have chosen Margret as her biographer.
Vida Winter is a popular and intriguing writer, well loved for her books, but her popularity was increased even more by all the fictive biographies she created for herself.
Now, at an old age will she reveal her true story? What secrets is she locking in her memories and why has she chosen Margaret for such a task?
This was such a fascinating read even with it's flaws.
This was a shining debut by the amazing Diane Setterfield.
