gorgeous!!!!! the kassandra scene is raw and horrible and INCREDIBLE. thank you anne carson!

an absolute delight, as always when it comes to anne carson & her way with words. in terms of actual plays i think orestes > agamemnon > elektra and YES i spiralled at "not to me. not if it's you"

"go."
"fabulous."
"unless i reconsider."
"not fabulous."
only 7 words but somehow the funniest shit I've ever read in my LIFE. also yeah beautiful play I cried

Elektra is leagues ahead of the other plays in this book, although Agamemnon does hold its own. Orestes seems out of place, self-mocking in a way neither of the other plays do.
