I love this series and the characters.
The author is the perfect narrator for her series and makes the audiobooks an amazing experience as well. (I listened to the audiobooks so forgive me if I misspelled the names)
Cor's father is missing, but she doesn't believe that he is dead, only lost at sea, and what is lost can be found. She will do whatever she can to make sure she can rescue him even if it means saving their land (parallel London with magic) and the royal family. In this world, the makers are families dedicated to creating pieces of garments such as hats, boots, gloves, clocks, watches... under the rule of doing no harm.
Cor thinks that she can wield this magic too without bad consequences, but she learns that some breaking of the rules can harm. Determined to get a boat to save her father, she unites strength with Sam, Goose (the son of a rival family and her best friend) to uncover villains, punish them, and save the day.
Unfortunately, she doesn't save her father just yet, but she gets a new clue.
I love Hugo he is such a fun character and actor.
(Princess survives dead attempt, but Shakespeare was butchered, ahahahah )

J’ai adoré cette petite lecture jeunesse. L’univers créé par l’autrice m’a transporté alors que je ne savais pas trop quoi lire aujourd’hui.
L’univers des artisans avec la maison chapelier et les membres de cette famille m’ont beaucoup plu. On découvre Cordelia une jeune fille qui essaie de retrouver son père disparu, cependant elle va découvrir un complot bien plus grand qui touche la couronne.
Une intrigue haletante et prenante va voir le jour avec Cordelia et ses deux amis. Ils vont chercher à résoudre le mystère et sauver les familles d’un terrible destin.
Tout au long de la lecture on s’attache aux différents personnages tous plus haut en couleur les uns que les autres.
Je lirai le tome 2 avec plaisir pour retrouver Cordelia et ses amis.

Although set in London, the story takes the reader to another world. One that's filled with magic and adventure. I will absolutely be reading the sequel.
