I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The story was well told. I enjoyed the back and forth between present day and the past.

Überraschend gut, mit einer Thematik bei der so viel hätte schiefgehen können.
Like all Delaney's books, I was hooked! Such a unique storyline, with so many twists that entertain the reader. The characters are well developed and the writing allows you to picture all that goes on. I was left with a few questions but irregardless this was a fantastic read!
A bit of a bizarre story, but I was gripped the whole way through. The idea of a robot having human feelings is something I kept having to get my head around, definitely very far fetched, but it was also fun to read something very different to the norm . There was a lot of interesting parts throughout this book, lots of food for thought. The ending has quite a good twist to it too.
Everything from casual sexism to misogyny to autism, to the question of existensialism, this book it all. Imagine Elon Musk meets Gone Girl.
