One of the best illustrated books I have read.The comics were awesome and I could relate to most of them.A few have struck a deep chord with me and have become my favorites.

Somehow... we rarely appreciate our process itself in getting more creative and let fear overcome to us and makes us overthink then ended in not producing it.

I've been a fan of Grant Snider's blog, Incidental Comics, for a while, so when I heard that he was putting together a complication, I was ecstatic.
However, I was a little disappointed that there weren't many comics that I hadn't seen before-- having perused all of the ones posted on his blog previously. In addition, the ones that were new to the collection were not my favorite, and didn't stand out to me especially. I had hoped that having many comics in the book altogether would allow him to have a huge story arc throughout, but as it happens it appears to just be a vaguely categorized anthology.
Grant Snider's style of creating comics is unique to me, or at least, I haven't seen it replicated elsewhere. It's a combination of poetry and art to represent the words or carry them farther, maybe creating a pun. (Isn't that funny, making a pun with a drawing?). I love this idea, since I enjoy any kind of poetry and his adorable drawings just add to the humor. There are many instances in the book where the art form works very well, and the impactful poems are made more impactful by the drawings. However, on some others, it fell flat.
Overall, I did really enjoy reading this book (and it was a breeze, maybe even under half an hour!), but I felt that Snider had a big opportunity to make this something more than a compilation of (mostly already published) comics. Most of them were fun and interesting though, and I would love to page through it more in the future.

I love Grant Snider’s work. It’s clever, it’s relatable, and it’s laugh-out-loud funny. I found this one a bit more abstract thematically than I Will Judge You By Your Bookshelf, but it still brought me a lot of joy. I am so fascinated by his play on words and the way he plays with that in his art!
