Look.... technically I did dnf it at page 500. But I spend to much time reading to much pages to not count this as a read book. I have read more pages in this book then the length of most.. so yeah.
Also it is a soft dnf, it just dragged on soooo much. And grace was sooo redundant, it was soooo boring. What plot there was was starting to get to convoluted.
Loved book one and book two also, the start of this one was irritating I wanted to pick up where we left if and we didn't but okaaay. I read on and it gets good enough, but then it just went down hill. It has lost all the charm and humor it had before. Wich was it's saving grave as the book itself, the plot wasn't that great.
I can write more and have a two page rant but I will leave it at this, a "technically" soft dnf. (I did look up a spoilers so I know what's going to happen).

The saga continues… yes, this one dragged a little more than the second book (which was my fave), but overall it was still good. The action parts went well, but Grace’s thoughts became super redundant. Regardless, I like the direction we’re going and can I just say, everything got better after the 1st book (the writing, the plot, the characters- all of it). So I’m super glad I hung in there.

Immediate removal of a star for the "mansplaining" reference, especially when they're wasn't any.
I enjoy the story the plot, but the author is not somebody I ever read again after this series. Honestly so tired of reading all the stupid current event references, the feminazi crud, all the stupid stuff she puts in trying to be relevant.
Only a 12 year old would enjoy any of it.
And the frigging MC... makes me want to scratch my eyes out. Overreacts over everything. She's extremely unreasonable and toxic as hell. Are we sure a grown woman wrote these?!
Oh good God, as if the MC couldn't get any worse...
Spoiler?
How many times had that friggin gargoyle spoken to her, warning her. How many times has something bad happened when she didn't listen.
Cause naturally that means nothing to the idiot because despite the gargoyle warning her, yet again. She ignores him. Yet again. AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED, YET AGAIN. This character is TRASH.
Good God with her multiple paragraphs in a row multiple times about oh I'm falling for Hudson but it doesn't matter we've gotta save Jaxon. On and on and on. So boring and I've now skipped half the book.
Let's not be smart and think about how you CAN'T save him. Breaking the bond with Hudson is not going to basically create one with Jaxon that binds his soul back to him. Herpy derrrp. Let's also not think about how her soul only survived because she immediately mates to Hudson... so naturally if they break that bond... let's think... what would happen to her soul .. Yep.
We all guessed it but for some reason those important aspects slipped past the author.
And then the big fight scene at the cave. Let's not think about taking energy and power from all these other beings Hudson is taking care of.. nope. We'll take his instead

My fav. Book in this series. I love the way the relationships come together.
