This is one of the best books I have read in a long time.
As the imperfect daughter of an imperfect (but also incredibly perfect) mother (you know how it is) who this book, especially the last part hit me deep in my feelings in a lot of ways.

Hmm I think 3.5? It felt very Forrest Gump-like. I loved the beautifully flawed characters and the thoughts on motherhood and feminism at the very end were very poignant and hit home for me. Why isn't our best enough? Why are women constantly beating themselves down because they are the best mom or more dedicated to their job, etc.etc. etc
It's the same old story and feeling that keeps getting repeated.

I enjoyed it, I don't really like Jennifer Weiner books, so I was really surprised that I enjoyed this book so much.
Like a big old fashioned box of chocolates, a bit predictable, but so so satisfying.

Mrs. Everything follows sisters Bethie and Jo over several decades. It touches on so many important themes and topics, but never felt forced. While there were a lot of characters Weiner did a great job of introducing them and making sure their place in the storyline was easy to follow. I could easily see this being made into a limited series tv show.
This fell short for me, which I’m sad about! I love all her other books I’ve read, but I felt that she pushed too much tragedy on these sisters. I don’t feel that many people go through that much tragedy and hardship but I still love her writing
Knocked this out on a long plane ride. A great read with wonderful characters.
