For something titled The Complete Collection, it sure feels incomplete. Probably 3.5 still.

But let's do other things first. It's a bunch of fun Spider-Man stories, with an array of Marvel characters. There's an arc with Punisher and Daredevil that I felt dragged. I haven't read Punisher in an age, I skipped the Netflix series, I get Punisher is never going to be a good time, the truth of the character is accurately portrayed, but it was a tough stretch.

The book has no continuity. Each new arc doesn't seem to have a relation to previous arc, for Spider-Man or the world. Its the comic book version of Law & Order or the Original Star Trek; in neither of those shows mostly what happened previous episode doesn't affect the next episode.

That had to be a bunch of fun when it was a monthly comic, but it makes for a very weird collection to read. Marvel collection, hell Marvel titles these days have an arc to follow. This really doesn't, I haven't studied if this true, so it feels like they didn't include an issue. There's an issue before Spider-Man ends up in the Savage Lands. There's an issue before Spider-Man winds up on Carol Danvers' Air Force base.

I'm one of those collection readers that don't worry too greatly about all that, because I trust the writers are going to tell me everything I need to know to get through the issue. If you can do that and just trust that idea, go along for the ride, it's a fun, if somewhat narratively choppy ride.

That date started complete fiction, because I just don't note when I started a book.

Various team ups and follow ups from other books. I could see how some readers would be confused by this.
