I loved this story from beginning to end! I listened to the audiobook as I was reading the book and I loved both versions of the story (the audiobook is slightly different than the book but it's still good).
I recommend this book to kids and adults. It's well worth the time to get through it. I would read this story again. It's also better than the first book in this series, "A Boy Called Christmas".

I liked returning to this world in this sequel, but also liked how it was in the different setting of London which made this story stand out from the first one. The introduction of more traditional aspects of Christmas made me happy, and I'll definitely be continuing with this series.
I enjoyed it more than its predecessor, which I thought was a less interesting Santa origin story than the thousands that have been already written. By centering the story on a girl struggling in London, the book was more relevant and interesting.
I really enjoyed returning to Matt Haig's Father Christmas origin series. Book two wasn't quite as magical as book one, but it was still a really fun festive story.
