I moved through it fast enough but none of it felt as iconic as some previous scenes and I just feel really Meh about the Skysworn. Excited by Jai Chen’s stuff and curious about Mercy

Summary:
The black flame path is not well received and Lindon is arrested and jailed. His duel with Jai Long arrives, and although he fights well, he loses and loses an arm. The Jai Patriach, driven to the edge of madness in desperation received a forbidden artifact to try and kill Eithan, he fails and dies in the attempt, but the dread god The Bleeding Phoenix, is awoken. This is the effect of the interference of one of Suriel’s teammates, to prevent Cradles possibly being destroyed by the interactions of Lindon and Eithan. Yarin and Lindon both join the Skysworn to fight the dreadgod’s servants, but the captain plans to get them both killed in battle. They are paired with Mercy, a lost-daughter of the family who owns the empire. The dreadgod rises faster than expected and is fought back by Mercy’s mother. During the fight, the bloodworm (or something) in Yarin breaks free and she has to absorb and conquer it to save herself, Lindon, and Mercy. Eithan arrives after everything is done with the info that his plan for power may just succeed, and is also the will of one of Suriel’s other teammates.
