This was a great, deep dive into God’s holiness and how it should transform our lives and our approach to God. I love Perry’s writing style and would highly recommend this book.

A fantastic breakdown and demystifying of holiness as a concept and how it relates to God and then to us as Christian’s. Jackie has a way with words that make this so accessible to understand. Thoroughly enjoyable read.

Truthfully, if I were to give it a proper rating, it would be 4.5. Reason being, the first few chapters are a bit dense and took me a considerable amount of time to work through, but I suppose all of that is par for the course when discussing a topic that so immense and vast. But, as a whole, this work is easily-accessible without dumbing down its intellectuality, and it has definitely brought me a greater sense of understanding and clarity regarding who and how God is.

I've had this book on my shelf for a few years, and this year, I finally read it all the way through.
This book was so timely for me and where I'm at in my walk with Christ. Jackie did a phenomenal job building her presentation of God's holiness and how understanding it leads us to a deeper relationship with Him. 10/10. I absolutely recommend this book.

HOLIER THAN THOU is a short book that packs in a lot about God's holiness and character. It's a good resource that should certainly leave believers in awe of God and feeling safer in God's sovereignty and care.
However, I wasn't a fan of how the book was organized, and with this being my second book by JHP, I've realized I struggle with her writing style, too. It's somehow harsh and fluffy simultaneously, often echoing the tone of fire and brimstone preachers on one page and filled with poetry-like metaphors on the next. I think it would've benefited from more editing and subheadings within the chapters (which may have happened in the final copy).
Overall, HOLIER THAN THOU is an informative book for Christians who want a deeper look into and theology of God's holiness.
