I usually really like Avery Flynn's work but this story was a little too repetitive for me. I get it...the guy is suspicious of the girl, the girl is a country bumpkin that is trying too hard to be perfect in the big city, you don't need to say so every chapter.

The Wedding Date Disaster is a fantastic fake dating, twin swap, and enemies to lovers romantic comedy. Hadley has been faking her lifestyle to her family, so when her sister's wedding requires her to come home, she enlists her best friend to pose as her boyfriend. Well, Will is Hadley's best friend's twin brother and take his place when he gets sick before the trip. Hadley and Will do not have a good relationship, but at the same time, they secretly lust after each other. As the journey evolves, Will and Hadley find out that they have a lot of misconceptions about each other as well as secrets from Hadley's family. Their attraction jumps off the page, and Hadley's family is so much fun! I enjoyed this read.

This book sucked so much. The guy was a judgemental dumbass. The girl also was meh. It was so repetitive, the inner monologue literally repeated every chapter. I think I stopped actually reading after chapter five. This was just so bad.

There were parts of this book that were so cute and quirky, I could see it being a Hallmark movie, but the sex scenes are plenty and plenty steamy. And there's tons of swearing (and sex scenes), which meant I couldn't listen to it at work even with my office door closed, lol.
I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers, best friend's brother, and fake boyfriend, so this book had me covered! I also love the crazy family dynamics, especially PawPaw.

Another entry in this author's shared universe of books set in and around Harbor City. This one focuses on the twin super-rich Holt brothers, Web and Will. Web's best friend is Hadley Donavan, a charity worker who has just lost her job because of Web's brother Will. When Hadley has to return to Nebrasja and her family's ranch for her sister's wedding and the week leading up to it, she enlists Web to be her fake boyfriend.
Only when her fake boyfriend steps off the plane, it's the wrong twin. The evil one. The one who's convinced that Web and Hadley's friendship is actually Hadley trying to scam Web into a gold-digging relationship. What follows is a funny and fairly hot combination of the fake dating and enemies to lovers tropes along with Hadley's large and quirky family.
These are fun, quick reads that always seem to put a smile on my face. Some of them feel a little forced: this one does not, and it's nice to get out of the shared setting for a while. As with most of her books, there's very clearly characters that can get their own upcoming stories too.
