Reread for #BSC #bookaday
As I've been rereading the BSC books, it has been a quite different experience as an adult vs. when I was a kid. I'm noticing things I never noticed as a middle schooler (book shout outs, grammar mentions, etc.), but this is the first one where I really felt like a teacher reading it. I remember reading this book and being completely flabbergasted at the idea of watching SO many kids all at once. The SO many ended up being 14. I now make a living where I am in control of at least 14 kids at a time.

Thank you to @scholastic_au for sending me a copy of this one. This was another fun adventure from the Baby-Sitters Club. This time they tackle baby sitting 14 kids for a week to help out Kristys mum to prepare for her wedding. I loved seeing more of Kristys relationship with her brothers and other family. I enjoyed seeing the Baby-Sitter club members creating a plan for all the kids they would be looking after for the week and changing things up when they needed. I love that these books are still relevant today and am enjoying the new covers.

Awesome illustrations and the book stays true to the original. I can’t wait for more of the books to be released.

I loved The Babysitters Club, so I am glad to see it reincarnated as a graphic novel series. I do miss having Raina Telgemeier as the author of the books, but Gale Gallignan is good, too. However, in Kristy's Big Day, some parts of the story were glossed over. It was like the author was worried about the book being too long, but didn't want to cut parts out. So instead, they were just two or three panels. Over all, the rest was good, and I enjoy Kristy's stepsister, Karen. I started out by reading Baby Sitters Little Sister, so I appreciate seeing her personality shine through in The Babysitters Club. While Kristy's Big Day was just ok, I'm looking forward to checking out more in the series!

Reading in chronological order (with the exception of The Kids in Mrs Colman's Class series).
An extra star for nostalgia. Loved this series as a kid and re-reading it is giving me all the warm and fuzzies.

It was fun to read about their wedding preps and remember being a child in the 80s.
