I remember seeing Mike Myers for the first time in HBO, sometime when I was 10.
I remember listening to the scene from the famous scene from Wayne's World where they sing Bohemian Rhapsody.
I've never followed up on his career success, but boy was this book entertaining! Probably one of the best autobiographies I've read(only second to Trevor Noah's)

Part memoir, part love letter to Canada this is a short book by one of Canada's most famous exports. Very amusing in places, all it did is make me miss Canadian winters and the people of Canada. Good read, eh?

Half a memoir, half a love letter to his beloved country. Mike Myers is funny and witty, as expected, but also deeply touching when talking about his late father.
There is more direction and purpose to the book than I expected.
I didn’t realize Canadians were morbid. The book is filled with quirky and delightful observations of the kind, supported by hilarious anecdotes.

Enjoyed the first 3/4 of this book. As a fellow Canadian married to an American and living in America , I enjoyed the anecdotes and perspective of another ex-pat. I always enjoy an audio book read by the author and this was no exception until he waxed political for the last quarter of the book. Not what I was expecting from a comedian’s quasi-memoir and I prefer to remain as politically agnostic as possible in my leisure reading.

I was expecting either a really interesting history of Canada, or something more akin to a Mike Myers memoir and ended up with something in the middle, for better or worse. There were some interesting factoids about Canada and some fun anecdotes from Myers' life, but they felt mashed up and a little disjointed in their presentation. Ultimately, it was an okay read, but fell short of expectations.

Definitely a personal memoir and love letter to Canada and memories of living in Canada and living abroad as a Canadian
A lot of comments seem to be super scathing regarding the ideological beliefs presented by Mike Myers in the final chapters. The mentions are relatively minor other than some references to Justin Trudeau which makes sense when contrasted to how much of an impact Pierre Elliott Trudeau had upon the formative years of Myers. Also, if it took this book to realize that Myers is a progressive, you've been rather blind...
Enjoyable, humourous and personal, I enjoyed this one :)
