This was slow in some areas and I didn’t connect with it immediately, but I’m glad I stayed with it because I LOVED the ending. The writing is very descriptive, you get good character background, a good amount of blood and gore, and you have lgbt characters. Renee was my favorite character, she’s the smartest character and she finds herself through everything. I enjoyed the formatting of the book; some chapters were from character perspectives, some from blogs about the show, and some were love letters. Really cute ending. I have discovered every book I like I want a film adaptation for.

This was an interesting read, because it felt like I was reading a horror film (in a cool way). I wish it was a little longer to explain a few more things, but I believe it's so we can leave it up to our imagination about what actually happened and why.

This was a gripping read. I don’t read a lot of horror or gore but I was thoroughly glued to the page. The characters are all pretty morally grey and unlikeable, and I enjoyed the exploration of the reality TV genre.

Just such a fun read. I loved Renee as a character,
she made such a great final girl for this story,
and the romance between Maggie and Kathy that's explored through letters in the last third of the book genuinely almost brought me to tears. A win for the lesbians.

if you don't really care about the reality show plot this book might not be for you as it takes up the majority of the story, but personally as someone who doesn't really care for reality shows or even the horror genre i still really enjoyed this! i wished it could've been just a liiittle bit longer, either to flesh out our mc in particular more or to take some more time learning about
the lesbian death cult
.

I devoured this. This book is my flavour of weird, and I could not put it down. Woman’s wrongs, reality TV and commentary on society, lesbians, the Pacific Northwest, and a cryptid? Sign me up.

From the reviews I read I was expecting this to be pulpy. I can see that, but is this is pulp then it’s the best pulp I’ve ever read. I want more of this, which is my only complaint.

I don’t feel like I can describe my experience without spoilers. It might not be the weirdest out there, but it will take you for a wild ride. And, for me, the gore is VISCERAL.

This was the perfect thrill ride to pull me out of my reading slump. Once I started, it was difficult not to read the rest.
