This book was the kind that I’d missed in my reading life. It was an experience like none before. For me, Hard Times had no climax. You make wonder, is that a good book?
For me, it sure as hell was. The way Dickens described each of the characters and how every one of them were different despite of them being seen with each other every day, is truly amazing.
Charles Dickens is a real author. Hope one day, I could write like him.

One of the shortest (if not the shortest) Dickens novel. The themes of the book are typical Dickens and told beautifully but far fewer than the characters than often in Dickens longer novels. As i have said before i find reading Dickens very hard so i listen to the audiobooks (this version read by Simon Jarvis) and it turns the experience from one of a chore into a beautiful experience.
