Every third poem caught my attention, the rest were well explored concepts. I’m normally all about books that explore the suffering of women, but this one just didn’t speak to me. It felt like a Lifetime movie, all melodrama and nothing substantial to say. Also, some of the poems felt…incestuous? It made me quite uncomfortable.
