A beautiful story with very beautiful commentary on faith and sexuality. I like the friend group dynamic and seeing hannahs inner struggle, I would have loved to see it writen in her voice. I cried and it was healing going on the journey of this story.
I was kind of confused by how much the girls faith mattered to them it felt inconsistent. They didn't seemed to care about their faith except when it came to homosexuality. The internal conflict seemed to come out of no where. Like no gilt over being drunk or sex before marrage but only being gay. Which made sense for the non-queer charicters because of concern with looks and general bigotry. idk maybe that how some gay people feel.
It starts off a bit slow and is generally a bit long winded. I got pulled out of the story because of some of the weird metaphors that seemed like they were just randomly ploped in and overly dramatic.

Being part of the LGBTQ community who grew up with a strict religious upbringing.. this was hard for me to get into. It was good and I’m glad I stuck with it.. but I almost DNF’d this book.
