I immensely enjoyed this book.

It's not terribly well written, but it doesn't have to be. The thing that fascinated me was that, reading it, you get the feeling you're watching a pulpy horror movie. It's exactly like that -- the scenes are tropes, most of the time they're badly executed, the girl is just there to be a girl, the dialogue is kind of unrealistic, the ending is predictable...but it works, for me.

Bonus points for the "evil" cat which does nothing but be cat-like the whole book while the weird things happen.

It's a short read, and I absolutely recommend it if you ever liked watching something like Brain Dead, Saw III, Blair Witch Project or any other horror cliché movie.
