This goes out to my bestie, who had the worst time of her life reading this book and decided to pass on the mayhem to me. Thanks diva!

Honestly started this book thinking it was going to be my least favorite out of the series, but honestly its top 3 in this series for sure! I started by talking about how much I didn't like the voice actors again, and someone else's comment on my previous post made me appreciate the different and unique voices more. I do still wish the female/male voice actors voiced their characters lines instead of the males voice acting as the woman and vise versa during their chapters, but I got over it quickly. It's honestly the darkest out of the bunch in my opinion and I appreciated that, but I really enjoyed Father Cade and his crazy self-flagellation punishments. Felt very accurate with the religious themes.

Honestly, it took me awhile to get fully immersed into this book. I felt that it didn't grab my attention right away. However, once it grabbed my attention, I could not put it down. Amaya and Cade are both broken in different ways. Amaya stepping up with Quinten warmed my soul. Reading about being on the spectrum with so much honesty and openness made me fall in love with this story.
