I saw someone say this book was written too modern for their liking and that is honestly how I felt. I was only reminded of Pompeii in snippets of description.
The story itself is always toeing on the line of something happening and then we had the same repetitive pattern.
I did like some of the characters and wanted a bit more about them but the book has so many characters I can see why the author had no time for them. It’s hard to keep up!
Wont be finishing the trilogy when I had such high hopes!
