Very disappointed. Based on the reviews this book has received, my opinion is going to be an unpopular one

First off, the writing is remedial. The target audience for this should be young children, not Middle Grade readers.

Secondly, common sense, logic, and even knowledge of fairy tales are all completely irrelevant when it comes to making your choose-your-own choices in this. It's like the author thought it was be funny to just add complete nonsense connected to the choices and not actually work to flesh out the story arcs. For example, on one story arc you turn into a bear, but you have no idea you are a bear until you get axed down by someone chopping wood. There is zero explanation to tell you why or how you became a bear, how long you were a bear, ect. It was simply... you're a bear, now you're dead. I went through at least 10 story arcs and found that whatever choice I made the results were arbitrary and all equally dissatisfying.

Quite a bit of fun. They are very short so I did a few quests.
